Isaiah 5

Bible Study Points of Power

- There will come a time when all people will abandon all other religions to learn and obey Israel’s God. All in all God is the way the truth and the life.

- When we walk in God’s ways there will be harmony. God expects us to be one in unity with no division in him. God is going to give us peace, but you have to want it. We are many members, but there is one body. There is one Lord, one faith and one baptism. We must reaffirm the truth of God because there is no other God than him. We must put God’s word at the forefront of our lives and we must give up our own ways to follow him. We are to be a light to the world and show them that God is God and he does not change.

- We have been deceived by the fortune that we have created. Our ways are not God‘s way neither our thoughts his thoughts. Why does he pay attention to the corrupt ways in the order of the world? God has already told us to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all of these things will be added onto you; God’s word is not a cliché. God is more concerned about the heart of the people. Are you going to repent and turn away from your sinful and wicked ways? Are you going to let God have your heart and everything concerning you?

- Who are you serving? We have to stop looking at the world. When you look at the world you will end up doing worldly things. You have to put all of those things to the side and concentrate on what God has planned for you. What God has planned for us is amazing and if we are obedient and do what God has asked he will reward you. If you do not, God will show his wrath as we discussed in Revelations . We have to be the light of the world being able to walk in God’s light, going out to the people and not be afraid to speak about God’s word. Chastisement is a teachable moment because it makes you stronger. We are in a spiritual warfare, and you cannot go into a spiritual warfare if you are unarmed. God is moving us into a different realm, stop worrying about material things they are coming. Just be patient.

- It is important to repent daily because we never know when we have the spirit of pride on us. When we’ve been blessed with something and we’ve gone to the point where we feel like we’re better than someone else we are not because God is the judge. He is the one who lifts up and puts down and he will judge those who think they are in high places because they have been given positions of leadership by man. We must always check ourselves, making sure that we check daily that we are in the right standing with God and are obedient to the voice of God. It is more important that we are in obedience to the voice of God, then allowing things to take us out of our character. Being in the right place, having the right attitude and spirit is important to receiving what God has for us.

- We’re not in control of anything ; God is in control of all things. God is the one that we must stay in contact with. We may not understand or comprehend, but God knows our paths and sees what we don’t see. For example our Apostle is the shepherd and we are the sheep of the pasture. God gives her the information to send down. We must remember that we are not serving man but we are serving God and God alone. When we think that we don’t need God or act like we are bigger than him we will be knocked down. God is greater than any person, no matter their position, power or riches and we must stay humble. If we do not bow before our God now, we will one day be forced to. Only the Lord will be exalted at the end of the day, only God will stand tall, God alone will be honored. Let’s start exalting him now not later, because he deserves first place in our lives. Today’s idols will be destroyed and God will wipe all of that away. Ask yourself, what am I putting before God? Whatever it is, it cannot save you. If we fear and respect the Lord now we won’t have to run later, will be able to stand in his presence with peace, because we belong to him. Isaiah give us a warning, the question is, will you obey God now or be forced to face him later?

- God will teach you a hard lesson of humility. When you no longer have a job, or that money to hold on to, God will show you truly where your help will come from. So often we forget who got us where we are and we forget that God makes everything possible. We allow flattering words to make us forget just how good God has been and we will allow people and circumstances to dictate how much we love and follow what the Lord has said. If God said it you can trust and believe that it will come to pass, not in your time, not at your will or your way but if you trust God’s plan it will manifest. We have to put God in everything that we do. We are not forced to be in service to God and we “Get” to be in service. It is a pleasure to be in his service you cannot buy God’s giving.
